The beautiful Westclox "Andover" S2L, was first introduced in the spring of 1938 and was produced up
until 1942 when WWII halted the production of such consumer products.
The retail price was originally $4.95. It measures 6.25" tall.
The same clock face design was used on the smaller 1939 wind-up Westclox "Leland" clock.
After the war, it was discontinued and in 1947, the Westclox "Oracle" S6E with the same design was introduced,
but with a brass frame, yellow tinted glass and a different, less stylish clock face.
