The Fada 260G is another great design from the Fada "Coloradio" series.
This example is made from white plaskon with gold trim.
It exhibits the typical hairlines associated with plaskon and this model.
99% of the white plaskon versions developed hairlines in the same places;
around the grill opening, the dial and on the bottom.
The "Coloradio" series were available in brown, black, white and red,
and a little fancier; black with chrome trim, and the white or red with gold trim.
These two examples of the molded rear cover
show how the elegant design continued around from the front deco lines.
The second example used only 4 corner screws and the "F A D A" cutout
was not etched all the way through.
Rear covers with no FADA markings came with
radios branded with other names such as Co-op and Silent Dictograph.
Fada sold this model and other radios to distributers who used their brand names.
The 1937 FADA Coloradio brochure below is for models 254.
Notice that a wood cabinet was also a choice.
The FADA 254 used the same cabinet as the FADA 260 with circuit variations.
