Western Royal 636

Western Royal Radio model 636, Belmont, white

This Western Royal model 636 is another beautiful design from Belmont Radio Corp.
It was designed for Belmont Radio Corporation by Louis J. Wronke in 1938.
The same radio is more commonly found with the Coronado name on it.
(see the brown Coronado 636 in the gallery)
Another name found on this radio is "Freshman Masterpiece".
The Belmont 636 was made in 1940. An earlier version, the model Belmont 633,
with a different chassis tube line up was made in 1939 (see labels below)
The Belmont 633 also had a different dial, before the reflective dials were introduced.
Belmont referred to the new dials as ""Enameloid Cloisonette" and were used on many different models.
