62-274(black), 62-288(walnut),
62-290(ivory plaskon) and 62-280(black,battery)
This beautifully molded black bakelite model 62-274 Airline was known as the "Miracle".
It was also available in brown bakelite (model 62-288) or ivory plaskon (model 62-290).
A battery version was also available, the black model 62-280.
A similar radio was designed with a telephone type dial in place of the pushbuttons and slide-rule dial.
The "magic eye" tube is a feature seldom found on bakelite radios.
The beautiful cabinet was designed by C.J. Manning in 1937. The radios were made in 1938.
